Cell Structure
  • Department of Land Resources, Government of India has approved establishment of Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Land Administration and Management at YASHADA for the states of Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and UTs of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.
  • The Centre of Excellence will work to understand, research and improve land administration through capacity building and facilitation of appropriate policy changes as per the mandate given by DoLR letter dated 31st May 2024.
  • YASHADA is the apex training institute of Government of Maharashtra responsible for training of Government Servant of Maharashtra at all levels.
  • YASHADA, also has specific Centres within it working in the fields of rural development, urban development, Co-operative, research etc.
Objectives
  • The COE will be part of YASHADA and to make it more effective in the area of land administration in its target States, it will work with the Revenue, Registration /Land Records departments, Town Planning, Agriculture, Registration, MRSAC, NIC and related agencies and experts of the states.
  • In this regard, it is proposed that an advisory Committee is constituted for the CoE.
  • To plan and conduct guidance and training programs for selected candidates.
  • The advisory committee to the CoE will function as a think tank for enabling CoE to work on important aspects of land administration.
  • The proposed advisory committee is as per attached Annexure A.
