Objectives

Organizing training programs and workshops for public authorities to promote transparency and accountability in information dissemination.
Developing training modules and reading material for Right to Information training programs.
Assisting in bringing transparency to the functioning of public authorities through research studies, evaluation, and documentation activities.

Training Types

Capacity Building Activities

The Government of Maharashtra entrusted the responsibility of training and capacity building of Assistant Public Information Officers, Public Information Officers, First Appellate Authorities from districts, and officers from various Directorates and Departments of the State Secretariat through a State Project. The Centre for Right to Information has carried out training programs and important initiatives, as well as funding status, every year since 2006.
