The Right to Information Center has been established at Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (YASHADA) since March 2004. The center was created to train Public Information Officers and Appellate Authorities of various public authorities in the state for the effective implementation of the Maharashtra Right to Information Act, 2002. After the enactment of the Central Right to Information Act, 2005, YASHADA has consistently been at the forefront in ensuring effective implementation and capacity building through training.
