Pune, 21 June 2026: Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (YASHADA), Pune enthusiastically celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2026 through "Yoga Sangam 2026", bringing together officers, trainees, officials, staff members, families, and wellness enthusiasts in a vibrant celebration of health and positivity.
Under the guidance of Dr. Suhas Diwase, IAS, Director General, YASHADA, and Mr. Rajiv Nandkar, Registrar, YASHADA, the programme witnessed the gracious presence of Dr. Pournima Gaikwad, IPS, Deputy Director General, YASHADA, and Dr. Mallinath Kalshetti, IAS (Retd.), Deputy Director General, YASHADA. The programme was also graced by Course Directors Mr. Kamalkishor Rathi, Dr. Kiran Dhande; and senior officials Mr. Shahuraj More, Dr. Pranjali Khadse and Dr. Anita Mahiras.
The event featured two enriching yoga sessions. The Common Yoga Protocol session was led by Dr. Rajesh Kolarkar and Dr. Rajshree Kolarkar from the Ministry of Ayush, while Mr. Aniket Potdar, Ms. Prachi Belsare, and the Isha Foundation team guided participants through rejuvenating yogic practices and wellness techniques aimed at promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
A total of 140 participants joined the celebration, including 75 Officer Trainees from the Directorate General of Shipping, Town Planning Department, and Directorate of Ayush, along with YASHADA officials, staff members, family members, and personnel from various service provider agencies associated with YASHADA.
The programme highlighted yoga as a powerful way to build physical fitness, mental resilience, inner balance, and a healthier lifestyle. Participants came together with enthusiasm, embraced the spirit of wellness, and pledged to make yoga an integral part of their daily lives.
The event was seamlessly coordinated and anchored by Ms. Sheetal Kachare who served as the Master of Ceremony.
Yoga Sangam 2026 at YASHADA brought together officers, trainees, officials, families, and wellness enthusiasts in a collective celebration of health, harmony, and holistic well-being. Guided by experts from the Ministry of Ayush and Isha Foundation, the event reaffirmed the message: “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.
